19 Nov 2021 – Seminar at The Chinese Foundation Secondary School on “Historical, Cultural and Scientific Importance of Soybean”

Center Director Prof Hon-Ming Lam has been invited by The Chinese Foundation Secondary School to deliver a seminar on “Historical, Cultural and Scientific Importance of Soybean” to their S3 to S5 students on 19 November. This talk intends to introduce the elements of science and technology into history and culture, and hence broaden the scope of “culture”. The highlights of his talk included the importance of soybean in China’s history and diet culture, the roles of soybean in food security and sustainable development of the world.
