On 17 June 2020, Prof. Alan K.L. Chan, the Provost of CUHK visited Faculty of Science. Making use of this opportunity, our Center Director Prof. Lam introduced the history of the establishment of our AoE center, our high-impact research findings, and some stories of knowledge transfer to real-life application in China and the World, with the aim to contribute to food security and environmental sustainability.
Prof. Lam also highlighted the synergistic interdisciplinary researches and activities initiated by our Center, comprised of members from life sciences, earth system science, public health, public policies, marketing, education, and etc. Multifaceted perspectives and ideas are gathered to provide insights for tackling pressing global challenges.
