16 April 2021 – Agrobiotechnology Talk Series (6) Innovative Solutions for Plant Breeding: a Biotechnology Research Company’s Perspective

On 16 April 2021, Agrobiotechnology Talk on ‘Innovative Solutions for Plant Breeding: a Biotechnology Research Company’s Perspective’ was conducted online via zoom. In this talk, Dr Michiel van Eijk from Genetwister Technologies B.V., the Netherlands provided the audience with an overview of research projects performed in a contract research company owned by several multinational vegetable and horticultural plant breeding companies and how such research is organized. The talk was well received by 40 participants.

It is the sixth talk of a series aiming to promote agrobiotechnology and enhance understanding of the potential applications of agricultural products. The target audience includes international scholars, researchers, agricultural industry as well as the general public.
